Across the 2023 Honda HR-V's three trims, you will find a 2.0-liter 158 horsepower four-cylinder engine, which is paired with an automatic CVT. The 2023 Honda CR-V, on the other hand, has two available powertrains. The Honda CR-V LX, CR-V EX, and CR-V EX-L are all powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, which creates 190 horsepower. Meanwhile, the 2023 Honda CR-V Sport Hybrid and CR-V Sport Touring Hybrid feature a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine paired with a hybrid system.
